This course will provide you with skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
With the skills and knowledge acquired you can provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
There is no pre-requisite entry requirements for a client to enroll in this course.

HLTAID011 – Provide first aid is delivered over one training day, with pre-reading and written assessment in a single session of approximately 8 hours.
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is valid for 36 months (3 years) from the date of course completion.
This course will be delivered using a face to face delivery. The delivery strategy used in this methodology is a combination of pre-self-study and face to face delivery with a direct contact between student and trainer in a practical and simulation environment.
The training delivered during this course will be divided between a classroom or in a simulated environment.
Each candidate needs to demonstrate skills in a simulated environment which assess the candidates’ skills and knowledge. Compression and ventilation skills must be demonstrated on resuscitation manikins following ARC guidelines for the purpose of assessment of CPR procedures.
